It was already Friday (July 13th). My mother and sister woke up early to visit the geysers at an altitude of over 4,000 meters.
I stayed in San Pedro and took a bike tour to the nearby Pukara de Quitor (3 km from San Pedro) with a Chilean from Santiago. The roads are quite different from those in Europe, for biking it's kind of like a dirt road (but sandier).
