Sadly saying goodbye 😢 from Japan, last stop Nagasaki

This morning we docked in the port of Nagasaki. The entrance was already gigantic. There was a great view of the mountainous landscape, as well as the skyline. The sky cried until early afternoon today. Of course, Japan is sad because we are leaving today, heading to Shanghai.

But first, to Nagasaki :-). I got off the ship with a big smile on my face; the people in Japan are really quite different from those in South Korea. Much more heartfelt and, above all, quieter.

We first visited the Oura Church. Apparently, some Popes have visited here. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed in the church. Otherwise, one would have seen that the church was rather simple and absolutely not pompous. I liked that style very much.

After that, we went to China Town in the rain. I had actually expected more from it. The district was quite small, and the prices were not exactly cheap. Nevertheless, I bought some souvenirs ;-). Since we got wet despite our good rain gear, we decided to head next to the Peace Park with the museum.

We made the trip by bus. An older couple was on the bus, completely overwhelmed by the system. Here too, I naturally helped them, and they were so grateful for the assistance.

We first went into the museum, and it was terrible to see the images from the atomic disaster. Just like in Hiroshima, there were shocking images and items. At the museum café, we had to have a hot cocoa first, as we were still a little cold.

After the warm refreshment, we went to the Peace Park. It was so lovingly designed; I was once again amazed by the cleanliness and the well-kept flowerbeds. We stayed in the park a bit longer. In the meantime, it had stopped raining, so we could head to our last destination, the Glover Garden.

This time we rode the TRAM. It's depicted in the photos. This quirky streetcar is super cool. The Glover Garden impressed us again.

The colorful lanterns that were already attached to the escalator ceiling looked fantastic. One didn't even want to reach the top. In the park, there was a pond with numerous koi fish. It was impressive how big they were. We walked every meter in that park. We had a wonderful view of the mountainous landscape and Nagasaki. Unfortunately, we had to return to the ship.

I'm really sad to leave Japan.

We're currently being seen off. A school band is playing, which is also amazing. They play great and dance; I am thrilled.

Tomorrow is a day at sea, and then we head to Shanghai.
