After the excessive heat in Mandalay, it was time for a cool down. After a short night in a super luxurious night bus (including a personal screen at the seat with a large selection of movies - in English or Chinese - which is somehow strange again, as most Burmese people do not speak much English) we arrived at the town of Kalaw, situated at 1300m, at two in the morning.
We spent the next two days enjoying the cool climate, exploring the area on walks, and resting in our cozy room when it was pouring rain.
