Hike to Tartsch

Finally, today the weather was kind to us... after 3 days of fog and rain, the sun had to come out at some point. Okay, at 9 o'clock in the morning the sun was still in its infancy, but it cleared up and we could start planning.

We chose an easy path, the Sun Trail to Tartsch.

We crossed the meadows and went into the forest, along an irrigation channel that unfortunately no longer had water. Only the main channel still had water.

We passed by small clearings on narrow paths and wooden planks, where jays were having lunch and squirrels were stocking up for the winter.

We continued through meadows and fields to Tarsch.

Feeling a bit tired from the impressions and the hike, we then had a delicious Wiener Schnitzel in a beautiful South Tyrolean room (Michelwirt).

We took the minibus back to Mals and then to Burgeis. The bus ticket for the entire Vinschgau region is included in the guest contribution. We thought that was great! Now we're lazily lounging on our sunny balcony.
