Punta Arenas
We have arrived in Punta Arenas. Here we visited thousands of cute penguins. Unfortunately, we didn't go to Torres del Paine. Kai had a big dent in his rear wheel, so we drove...

We actually made it! Admittedly, both of us are a bit worn out. Kai was still very sick and we both feel nauseous.... Well, we have plenty of time to rest.... almost 4000 km are on our odometers. Tierra del Fuego was amazing. First a lot of lonely pampas and then high mountains and lots of water near Ushuaia. Many guanacos crossed our path. We drove from Porvenir via a side road over the Bellavista Pass. It meant an extra 100km detour and even more gravel, but hardly any traffic. On the second day, I briefly regretted it. The wind was so icy and the next town was at least 2 days away.... We tried out all possible jacket-sweater combinations, how not to freeze while driving, but also not to sweat too much, how not to cool down during breaks and how to get our clothes dry again in the evening....
Overall, there was a lot of sunshine and Tierra del Fuego showed its friendly side😊. Ushuaia is very beautiful, but its charm is not immediately apparent.... In two days we will take a trip to the national park and then we will fly to Buenos Aires on Saturday.
We are looking forward to seeing you all again soon😗
