With the elephants in Mole National Park

During our journey through Ghana, we reached our destination, the Mole National Park, on the border with Burkina Faso. Our accommodation was Spartan but it was okay. Only the washroom was a bit peculiar. When we turned on the shower, red water came out. When we went down to the valley to see the elephants, we knew why. The water came from the lake where the elephants were playing. It was pumped into a cistern and filtered. Only the former slaves who wanted to see where their parents came from came to this area.
