Sorry for the late reply. The trip to San Francisco was really exhausting. I'll explain more later.
Yesterday we spent the whole day in Orlando. Ryan bought me a really cool denim jacket and a wallet.
After that, he wanted to go to an army shop to finally buy a great backpack. The shop looked really bad from the outside. I thought we would never get out of there🤣 but inside the shop, it was really nicely set up. There was so much to choose from. And Ryan finally found a super awesome backpack. I'll share photos as soon as he wears it🤣
And now let's talk about the flight. The flight took 5 hours. At first, we had a one-hour delay. It was really annoying. Apparently, there was construction at the San Francisco airport. The rest of the flight was okay.
We arrived at our hotel. It was awful. I did my research beforehand because I knew about the homeless people. When we got out of the car, there were homeless people everywhere near the hotel. That wouldn't have been a problem for us. The problem was that the hotel didn't have insulated windows. It was cold and the homeless people were making noise all night.
The Villa Florence hotel was not at all what was promised in the photos. Everything was covered in mold, the furniture was damaged, dirty, and it smelled like feces everywhere. We haven't seen anything this bad in a long time.
When we wanted to switch rooms to at least get some sleep, they refused because they were fully booked. That's when I reached my limit. We paid 240 CHF per night for this room. I would have paid a maximum of 50 CHF. What a rip-off. After Ryan was very assertive, I used my not-so-good English with a slightly angry tone. I think the receptionist realized that I was serious about canceling the hotel. We were so mad that they allowed us to cancel and we got a full refund.
Shortly after, we were homeless🙈😱🤣 I then booked the Marriott Vacation Club on Booking.com. It's right at Fisherman's Wharf. It's a bit more expensive, but it's worth it.
Now we're well-rested and ready to explore San Francisco. See you later, my loves ♥
