Tag 9 Badlands & Mt Rushmore

Hello my dear 😊

This morning we went to our first national park on the trip, the Badlands.

At first we were a bit shocked as it was only 5 degrees there 😱.

But nonetheless, the landscape was breathtakingly beautiful.

After several stops at various viewpoints, we headed towards Mount Rushmore.

One thing upfront, it's not as huge as it's always marketed 😁.

But the closer you get, the bigger it gets 😉.

It's really beautiful to see and the patriotism of the Americans when it comes to something like this is incredible.

We will be staying overnight in the nearby town, Rapid City. A typical small town with a little bit of western feeling.

On the way to dinner, we surprisingly found a part of the Berlin Wall in the city park 😅.

Today we ate at a converted fire station and had traditional burgers 🍔 😁👍🏼.
