On Sunday we visited the Car Fair Market. Local people and backpackers sell their cars there. We looked at a few cars until we met Roman. He offered his Toyota Previa for sale. The car was built in 1996 and has 250,000 km on it. We checked the car using the checklist we had worked out the night before and then took a test drive. After that we had the car checked from top to bottom at an adjacent workshop. Conclusion: The right rear brake light needs to be replaced, but otherwise the car is in good condition. Then Witzi negotiated the price of the car down to $3900, from $3000, and the staff at the car market congratulated us on the good price. :)
Camping gear, dishes, pans, cutlery and hiking poles were already included in the price. :)

Transitioning to automatic transmission was initially difficult, but over time you get used to it. It's even advantageous at times because it's only uphill and downhill here, so you would only be shifting gears :D
