Russel 2.0

We are taking a Saturday trip. Originally, we wanted to walk the Wangamumu Track located 26 km north of Paihia. But we got lost... we changed our plans and parked our car in front of Russel. We then walked through the town to the top of the peninsula to the lookout point at Tapeha Point. The view of the ocean and the neighboring islands was amazing. On our way back, we hitchhiked into town and had to walk the last stretch to the car.

Instead of driving 1 hour on a gravel road back to Kereikeri, we took the car ferry from Okiato to Opua.
