We escape the rain and drive to Wanaka. We hike the Roy's Peak Track. There are 1500 meters of altitude to overcome. The ascent was accordingly steep, but it was definitely worth it. What people say about Wanaka is true. It is a damn beautiful place. The interplay of mountains, glaciers, and water is simply breathtaking :)
In the evening we check in at a campsite for $5 per person including a shower. And who do we meet? Of course, the Israelis and Anna. This time (probably) the last time.
