while smoking I saw an illuminated statue on a mountain and thought I'd check it out sometime. I actually had something else planned for today.
And where do I end up? In the Parque Metropolitan or also called Cero San Cristóbal. We took the cable car up. A beautiful park with a great view of Santiago, impressive also the 22.5 m high statue of Mary. Exactly the one I saw the night before.
Speaking of smoking: I would say the Chileans don't smoke. Well, a few do and I do. There are hardly any cigarette butts lying on the streets here, the tourists don't dare to flick their cigarettes away.
The area here, Providencia/Bellavista, has loads of restaurants, cafes and bars and there should be something for every taste. Today I had a typical Chilean corn casserole - vegetarian. But the empanadas, with cheese-filled pastry pockets for example, were more delicious. And a grande cerveza chica (girl beer) - drink a lot, it's hot here 😎
Greetings to all of you
