I had no particular goal in Ishigaki. So I went on a city walk. I bought things at two markets that looked appetizing and that I wanted to try.

The highlight of the day was eating at a traditional Japanese restaurant. I was assigned a table and told me to put my shoes in a cupboard with the table number on it.

The tables were designed so that you could either sit cross-legged or “normally”. In the middle of the table there was a depression in which coals were glowing, with a grill grate above them.

My meal consisted of salad, vegetables and various raw meats that I could grill myself as I wished. Add a beer and I had a very special, delicious meal.

At dinner there was a large, artistically designed Easter cake available. I didn't see it because I preferred to go to the "Voices of Royal" concert.
