New Year's Eve in Lyon

New Year's Eve 2018 was spent without my usual crew. I've never drunk so little alcohol during the turn of the year.

I spent the days before sightseeing and saw a lot of the city.

On the first two evenings, I met some new people through the hangout feature on the Couchsurfing app. It was really cool to have a beer with strangers.

New Year's Eve passed quickly, as my last train to my accommodation left at half past midnight.

There was hardly any fireworks, as I later found out that the French are not so keen on it. But that's actually nice.
