When we wanted to go out for dinner last night - after all, it was Sunday - we were unfortunate that the restaurant in the village was fully booked. We had already considered that since it was so beautiful here and the camping spot was free, we could easily stay an extra day. So we quickly decided to book a table for the next day.
This settled our dinner plans for today.
Until then, we hiked along the coast southward towards the village of La Roche - the rock. The vegetation here was low and bushy, with ferns alternating with thorn bushes. When a small section with a sandy beach came into view, we suddenly spotted paragliders above us, launching from one of the high cliffs and then landing on the beach below.
We started making our way back home around 3:00 PM, as we had a hopefully delicious dinner to look forward to this evening.
Our expectations were fully met. At 'La malle aux epices,' we first ordered a bottle of the local cider, along with half a dozen oysters as an appetizer. Then, of course, there was the main course with fish and for dessert, among other things, crème brûlée. Perfect! As we left, we were fortunate to meet the chef on the terrace and could personally express our appreciation for his artistry.
