A Sunday in Autumn

The Sunday morning began with drizzle, coffee, and rolls with honey. As we were not entirely happy with our choice of bed, we decided to use the other bed that night and rearrange the seating area, using the extra blanket not as a pillow, but as a blanket. It became quite cold at night.

Neither of us are small people, and it was undeniable that the toilet stall was more of an emergency toilet than a fully functional one. The toilet was a bit too high for our long legs, and the space was a bit too narrow; well, it is a Porta Potti®, it can be used, but if you can avoid it, you should rather use a proper toilet.

Shortly after 12 o'clock, the site manager finally arrived, hooked us up to the power, and collected the site fee, €10/person/night, €7.50/motorhome/night, and €5 for electricity connection, totaling €40 … for… well, for what? Electricity and 2-3 trips to the toilet?

We agreed that this kind of overnight stay shouldn't be every night, as one could simply opt for autonomy and just camp out somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

We spent the day on a nice hike along the Mulde, over the polders and flood meadows and through the village. Autumn had truly set in, windy, colorful, and wet.

In the early afternoon, there was soup again. And a lengthy afternoon nap.
In the evening we went to the tavern and treated ourselves to some proper food.
