Today we were awakened by a wonderful sight of the rising sun in the mountains. Then we went to a private breakfast with panoramic views in the winter garden and super friendly 1 to 1 service, as we had requested an earlier breakfast, so everything was served to our table. First, we took a short walk to the train station because we then took a train-bus-bus transfer to Zufritt. From there, we were able to make an ascent through beautiful vegetation with lots of squirrels running right in front of us, which led us over beautiful rocks with a spectacular view first over the alpine pastures, then over the marble path, until we arrived at our hut, the Zufallhütte, after not too long. Before that, we had a cozy lunch in the mountains. After we had unloaded some things from our backpack, we went for another round. First, up to the Marteller Hütte, where we walked along a fantastically blue stream in the valley on a stone path. From the hut, we had a great view of the surrounding mountains, and since we met a couple that told us about the great view from Vorderer Rotspitz, it was clear to us that we would stick to our plan and go to our first three thousand meter peak.So off we went. Mostly uphill, but at least still on paths - or 'roads', as it is called according to Komoot. The last hundred meters in altitude were climbed on scree and with a rope. Then we were finally there. At 3033m in altitude and with a view that allowed us a 360° view. And even on the mountains behind the mountain range that surrounds us.Downhill was more like sliding than walking, but at the end we went back over beautiful land with uniquely colored vegetation, past two flocks of sheep and grazing cows, back to the hut.By the way, the hut is really a hut! We slept in a dormitory and ate at mixed tables, and at 6:30 pm everyone got the same food. Our room was designed for 12 people, but we were lucky and only had three other people living with us. After a quick cold shower, we went to the well-deserved dinner, which did us good with its 4 courses. At the table, we sat with a very nice teacher from Cologne and a couple from Bavaria for a very nice and cozy evening, which didn't last too long because the tour really exhausted us. So we went happily into the sleeping bag in the hut.
Our tour was
7h 48min (including breaks)
17.3km
1,360m uphill, 990m downhill
