Abu Dhabi - We look forward to seeing you!

Next week it's time. We're flying to Abu Dhabi and the preparations are in full swing.

Last year we booked our trip through #HolidayCheck.

In the evening at 8:55 p.m. we'll take off with Etihad towards the United Arab Emirates.

In the morning we will land in Abu Dhabi at 6:50 a.m. and then we'll go to the Hotel Intercontinental, where we will stay in a deluxe double room.

Of course, the exciting planning phase starts now, one week before.

I've already bought a travel guide and read it meticulously, to avoid any surprises and to be able to plan well.

My favorite travel guides are those from #ADAC, because you get top tips and I really like the structure. The font size is pleasant and there is the right amount of information including opening hours, peak times and no-gos.

This weekend we will complete our packing list and already check which outfits to take with us.

I always use the packing list via Numbers (Apple). It's a pre-set list that you just have to fill out.

But you probably know it... You think "I'll take 7 t-shirts with me!" and when packing the suitcase, you have to decide even though you don't really want to.

That's why I pack outfits. So I already choose at home what I will wear. Because I have often thought: "Oops ... I didn't wear half of the things!" Or: "Darn ... I don't have the right pants for this top!"

You can elegantly avoid these problems with the outfit option.

In addition, when putting it together, you have the opportunity to quickly take another look at everything.

In the pictures you can admire some of my holiday outfit fails and also laugh or smile about them.... I did too.
