Hiking on the Rim Trail

Thanks to the noisy ice machine next to our room, we wake up early and head to Mather Point on the Rim Trail.

In the morning, it is still nice and cool, and above all quiet.

The paths here are very well developed and there is a new wow view around every corner.

Breakfast with a view is worth it, even without coffee. (And the fact that I'm slowly getting tired of cheese sandwiches😕)

And suddenly there is a deer, the size of a horse, on the rim. (Not in the hallway)

Or these funny squirrels.
