Jürgen is having a birthday

Happy Birthday my love.

Typical Italian breakfast.

Today there is a church service at St. Peter's Square. A bit like Rock am Ring but with the Pope and without alcohol. Here is the youth of the world. But most don't get much out of the church service💤💤

Next stop is Piazza Venezia.

Quite a big building, the Capitol.


At the Colosseum, waiting in line is the order of the day. In the blazing sun. Only 3000 people are allowed in at a time and despite online tickets, it takes a long time. Not recommended for lunch, too crowded.

We're skipping the Roman Forum. Too hot 🌡️
Clearly the better alternative.

In the evening we go to Trastevere. A really beautiful neighborhood.
The Aperol is fantastic and 2 men play accordion and bass on the square.
