After a hearty breakfast, we leave the house towards the Danube. The courtyard of our accommodation is beautifully dreamlike and the sky is deep blue.

It's unbelievable how much old buildings there are here. Quiet courtyards, Art Deco facades, and everything is very spacious and clean.

Our first destination is the Great Market Hall

Dominated by paprika, peppers, and salami

The service here is just as unfriendly as in Prague...seems to be an Eastern Bloc problem.

There are surprisingly many restaurants and pubs in Budapest, you can't really pass them by.

Life is beautiful!!!

In the evening, we look for a nice restaurant in the Jewish Quarter. And once again, we are overwhelmed by the rudeness of the waiters.

The area is characterized by dive bars and long queues in front of the "hot" places.
The highlight of the evening....inedible Hungarian sparkling wine.
