2nd Day on Tour with Rudy
We start in the morning in the rain in Nuremberg. The weather could be better, but it's completely okay for driving. Rudy drives very well.
We get some bread rolls from the bakery and have breakfast at a rest stop. ....we have everything with us😄
Since we don't want to buy a vignette, we drive through Austria and Italy on country roads.
We pass Lake Kochel and Lake Walchensee and head towards the Brenner Pass and Jaufen Pass.
First test for Rudy!!!
After several turns and good climbs, we reach the Jaufen Pass.
The wind is blowing strongly and it is quite cold.
So let's test Rudy downhill again and he proves himself here as well.
Arriving in Merano, we have to realize that the camper parking space we had chosen is completely overcrowded. The campsite and all other parking spaces are also occupied. We find a regular parking space on the side of the road. It's not ideal, but it'll have to do. Merano is packed. We didn't expect that. We find a small wine bar on the banks of the Passer, where we end up with a cheese platter again. Gigi's Bar, highly recommended!
After a walk, we spend the night in the camper. Hopefully it will be somewhat quiet.
