Over time, something changes. It has been hard to understand what. The shift has come gradually, like the Ice Age gliding over people and homes in ancient times. A 1000-meter-high wall quietly crushed everything in its path down from the mountains. Families running from the chilly colossus in fear, even though it took thousands of years for it to melt? I couldn't make sense of that as a child. Perhaps mainly because it didn't happen that way. I had heard fragmented facts about the Ice Age and with that information, I built my own scenario that seemed reasonable.

In any case: something has changed, and it has been both deceptively slow and quite devastating. Recently young and pulsating in a tornado of hundreds of friends and travels, a whirlwind of laughter and connections. Soul vibration. A song of blood. A little later, not quite so young, but still tipsy and flushed, a fluttering of blue tits in the chest, but with a faint longing away, or perhaps home? One foot in the countryside, but two eyes firmly on the blue horizon.
