Crocodiles of the World

Published: 18.10.2017

Today I finally have time to write something. Phew! The kids are on half-term break now and since the parents are working, I have the kids full-time. Yesterday was Sophie's birthday, so I went out with Izzy. Yeah, I know. Not with the birthday girl. But oh well.

Today, I took the kids to 'Crocodiles of the World,' which is basically a zoo that mostly has crocodiles. It was really fun and the kids enjoyed it. It was even interesting to talk to the keepers there. I didn't even know that crocodiles can live up to about 80 years.

Also, I got to pet a baby American Aligator. It was so cute :D During the feeding of the Nile crocodiles, I saw for the first time how high the animals can actually jump out of the water to get the food. The feeding of the otters and meerkats was also interesting. Izzy had some interesting questions for the keepers, and they actually took the time to answer all the children's questions, which I thought was really great.

Only two more days until the weekend. Although I'm still helping out at Sophie's birthday party on Saturday. I don't want to leave Jess alone. And then it's only one more week until school finally starts again.
I didn't let the children get eaten by the crocs. Otherwise, those poor little animals would get sick ;)
