What a day it was today!
Ups and downs followed one after another, like chickens on a perch!
A wonderful, bright blue sky in the morning, of course that got me motivated like a young rooster in the chicken coop!
For the rooster, it's the hen, but for me it's the mountain pass and of course one always wants to go all the way up to experience an orgasmic feeling!
So I start Berta, swing my delicate leg over the saddlebags and off I go to Bled to visit the bathing beauties there. Unfortunately, it was too cold for them, so I had to ask a church to pose for the camera. Nice, but not hot!
Off to Kranjska Gora, where some of the hottest curves in Slovenia were supposed to be waiting for me, and the Werschitz Pass kept its word!
51 hairpin bends, partly with cobblestones, caused a roar from me that would have scared away a horde of Huns!
But my personal highlight of the day was yet to come: the Mangart!
Tempted by various videos and many pictures, I absolutely wanted to go up there. I was really excited when the barrier to the road was open! A thin asphalt road with several stone tunnels and a breathtaking panoramic view were waiting for me. I had heard that this road was still closed, but according to descriptions, with a bit of luck you could reach the upper viewing point. The mountain fought back, I even crossed 2 smaller snowfields with my Berta, but unfortunately there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Damn! I'll be back, you damn mountain!
Italy is not far anymore and the mountains there have calmed me down a bit.
Today I am staying with a South Tyrolean goat farmer.
May the smell of the billy goat permeate my textile covering and give the ladies weak knees!
P.s.: Damn mountain, damn spelling mistake, but the mountain annoys me!
