Yesterday I took the bus across the entire island. It takes about one to two hours. The bus costs only 20 cents!!! Per ride. They have proper tour buses for the long distances....

I found out this morning that my flight is from Dubai and not Abu Dhabi. I then took a taxi for 150 km to Dubai International Airport - only 1 hour drive and only 65€ - aren't these taxi prices awesome. That's what happens when you book a flight at 1 am because you can't sleep. :))
Dubai doesn't look much different from Abu Dhabi. The airport is also great. After the security check, you take a train to the departure terminals.
This flight is also delayed by 30 minutes - seems to be normal. I will be there at 6:30 pm local time. 3-hour flight.
Conclusion - Abu Dhabi and Dubai are really cheap. A bottle of water at the airport costs only 0.50€!!! Sorry if I'm repeating myself.
I'm so excited about India. The real adventure begins now.
