Today we practiced 'arriving'. After our internal clock told us to get up at 5:00 AM, we searched for our way to the ATM after an unsuccessful sleeping pill. Apparently, nothing works with a card here (absolute lie).

During the day, we ticked off the typical tourist spots (stairs, tram, church, downtown, royal palms). In the evening, we drank a few beers and had a very meat-heavy Brazilian BBQ. After a few Caipirinhas and nice walks on the beach, we collapsed into bed totally exhausted. But: the air conditioning is extremely loud, so we 'complained'. We then quickly had to change rooms. The next one is on the street, but it has a quieter climate and is significantly larger.

Just as a side note: English is virtually non-existent here. Many people don’t even react because they don’t feel addressed. That means, with any question (menu, bill, hello, how are you), nothing happens… nothing. What a pity.
