The train was not bookable, and the vans were an absolute organizational disaster. After a relaxed 2 hours, we made it to the top, to a crowded platform at the base of the statue. After walking through 100 influencer videos and destroying countless pictures of random dolls, the hangover from the night began. The lack of communication (only Portuguese) also negatively affected our mood. It felt like trying to casually stroll through Media Markt on Black Friday; it just doesn't work. So we “quickly” (1.5 hours) headed back to the hotel, where Lina and I wanted to spend some time for ourselves. I threw myself on the bike and leisurely cycled 25 KM on the perfect bike path through Ipanema and the favelas, a dream. Lina was lifting weights. In the evening, we decided to have a non-alcoholic night for once, went to the Forte from Copa, and had dinner.
