Blog 15: Back to the coast

For my birthday we did a fjord cruise starting from Milford. The day began early with a two hours drive from Te Anau to Milford which is the starting point for most of the fjord tours. The road was bendy and steep and it started snowing. Therefore the road was closed shortly after we passed and no more people could go to Milford. Good luck for us: we enjoyed a cruise with only six passengers and free food and drinks. And we saw dolphins :) A few hours later the road was reopened and our old car completed the journey back up the mountains.

By now, our last week together has started. We are back on the coast and we're going up to Christchurch. Marama is going to fly to Australia next while I have three weeks left in NZ.
