What a night!
In case you haven't heard: we were shaken out of our beds last night around 12:30 am: an earthquake in Wellington! We were initially shocked and immediately rushed outside, which may not have been the best decision in that situation.
Outside, we met half the neighborhood and had no idea what to do next. Unfortunately, at that time, we had not informed ourselves about how to behave in such a situation :(
After a while, we went back inside and tried to sleep.... but the tremors kept coming and the first worried messages arrived from Germany. So, sleeping was impossible...
This morning, we left the apartment and were surprised to see the doors suddenly locked and construction workers and firefighters everywhere.
Reason: Cracks in the buildings! Evacuation of all occupants!!
Well, we could have experienced it, but we didn't have to! Anyway, we are safe now and in our actual accommodation: Everton Hall ♥
The people in the office were really nice and explained a few things to us. We were quite excited about what awaited us... and then the disillusionment! :(
We live in a '5-person shared flat', although we think that only one other person currently lives in that flat. But it's a mess.... She's from Indonesia and I don't think she cares about cleanliness at all :D everything is dirty and filthy :(
Our rooms are clean and our view is simply amazing: overlooking the sea ♥
Anyway, we're going to go out now and buy some disinfectants and scented candles :D maybe it will get better then.... once the rooms are livable, I'll show you a picture of my new domain :)
´s Spätzle ♥
