Tolles Mindset! Will auch mit!!! Ganz, ganz viel Liebe für den Weg!

For a long time, I have been dreaming of taking a trip to a tropical island. The Seychelles is my ultimate dream destination. And why am I doing this now, with my family? Now that I have two young children?
Well, there are several reasons:
- As a student, I had little financial means and only had in mind to finish my education as quickly as possible.
- My first long-distance trip was to Japan, the second one too. There, I lost my heart to this incredibly diverse and interesting culture!
- Other expenses seemed more important.
Why now?
Admittedly, we could save more instead of staying 'poor' and spending our savings on a trip. We could invest it for our children, for the future. Why did we still decide to do it?
- Life is now. You don't know how long it will last. But we have learned, and are still learning, to live more and more in the MOMENT. The feeling of security through saved money, for example, is an illusion for us. There is no guarantee of security in life, that's how we see it now. Nothing other than a happy life in the present, here and now, makes sense to me.
(Of course, it's good to have some minimum savings for things like car repairs, etc.)
- The experience of a (long-distance) trip 'gives' children a lot for later life. Seeing how different people are depending on where they live. It promotes openness and tolerance and teaches children from an early age not to simply accept everything that society dictates, but to question it critically. Because there is not only one right way to approach things, live and work. Children experience this up close through contact with foreign cultures.
What do we hope to gain from the trip and the long stay?
- For us, it will also be a journey into our own soul. We hope to gain more clarity in our lives through this: Are we happy as we are living or is something missing? What can we change, where do we (together) want to develop? What kind of parents do we want to be? Can we approach things more relaxed and what do we have to do for that?
For us, the trip also has a meditative character.
- Personally, I hope to find more peace and at the same time, I would like to work (write) in a relaxed atmosphere. I also want to clarify where I want to go with my author career and what my future projects should look like. In everyday life, I have little time to engage in these considerations.
Those were my thoughts on the mindset! :-) Feel free to share your thoughts on it.
