Day 6: Bear Refuge and Gacka Valley

Today we visited the Bear Refuge in the mountains of Velebit. Here, young people from all over the world take care of orphaned and elderly bears. Afterwards, we drove to the sources of the Gacka River, ate pizza, and then took a nap on a peppermint-covered meadow. What a fragrant experience! In the evening, we hiked along the Gacka River and visited the town's festival. The scars of the last war can still be seen in some places.
