I wanted a loaf of bread and two croissants!

A day in San Jose can't really begin without a baguette and croissants from the bakery "el Sol". The croissants are truly otherworldly and baked with lots of butter. Plus "cafe con leche", butter and honey, you don't really need anything else, maybe the great sun terrace. Well fortified, you can set off for “Playa de los Genoveses”. The path along the coast is very beautiful and you have a good view of the beautiful bay from afar. We will be accompanied by butterflies, wintering birds and breathtaking surroundings. With some rock formations there are no limits to your imagination.

The beach is surrounded by sparse vegetation with a few trees, prickly pear cacti and agaves. It is varied with gravelly, rocky and sandy sections and is approx. 1km long. We can spend hours here listening to the sound of the sea, watching the birds or watching the wind blow the sand and build up into small dunes.

The way back leads through a dry stream bed with a large collection of agaves and at the end of the path there is a small windmill.
