On a Thursday evening, we were at the illumination in the castle park of Schloss Dyck. I had expected a somewhat boring event, with illuminated trees and maybe a kebab stand, but it was completely different.
A true work of art awaited us. Not only was the newly opened Japanese garden enchantingly illuminated by various colored spotlights, but the other parts of the park were also magically highlighted and artistically altered by light and sound installations.
So we experienced an illumination of the castle itself.
And the color-changing lanterns on the moat were a highlight.
Then the installation of the monster (generated by fine water spraying and light installation - computer-generated) - fabulous!
Talking trees told something about their surroundings and warned the park goers about the steep path, and that one should not look too much into the 'phone'.
Finally, there were more lanterns that stood in the meadow like towering flowers.
The whole thing lasted until 11 pm - after less than 2 hours, we could have strengthened ourselves at one of the many food stands and wine bars.
Unforgettable - make a note of the next date!
