Today we spent the day traveling to Manaus. The flight takes 4 hours, gaining two hours due to the time difference.
This gave us the opportunity to have dinner at a local restaurant and eat something other than fast food. The dishes mainly consist of fish, rice, and cassava. I find the spices a bit unusual, but still delicious. Our favorite was Farofa de Camarão - made with cassava flour, plantains, and shrimp. Now we need to go to bed quickly because we're heading into the jungle tomorrow morning.
PS: yes, we ordered three dishes. We couldn't decide 😄
