Quartù Elena and Cagliari

Unfortunately, we wake up with rain at Capo Carbonata. According to the weather app, it will be nice and sunny tomorrow. So we'll go to Cagliari. We drive on the SS 17 with breathtaking views, which unfortunately are not as I want to see them due to the cloudy sky. But it's still beautiful! Maybe we'll go there again...

Since we know that a parking space in the city is bad for Mayla, we are looking for a parking space in Quartù Elena where she can run again. Not easy, but we find something. We are hidden in the corner of a parking lot and have a good night. Even cooking with a sunset!

The next morning it gets a bit louder. Trucks? The neighboring property is concreting the yard. No way to drive out. Well, then we wait.

In Cagliari we park in a camper parking lot in a central location. We can reach the center and the old town in 20 minutes. There are beautiful alleyways and buildings. Everything is manageable. We eat a pizza with Sardinian Ichnuso beer and learn that Zucca is pumpkin. Unusual on a pizza.

And then I actually remember: The grand marble staircase at the Bastione San Remy impressed me forty years ago!

At the port we admire a few mega ships and then we go back to the mobile home.... Unfortunately, the weather was not quite as expected, we also had some rain showers today.
