In the morning, we drove directly from the campsite to the border. We were sent from there to the assembly area. However, you can pre-register for one day with a specific time slot online, which we did not know. So we had to pre-register at the assembly area and then wait for 10 hours in very hot weather. When we were finally allowed to go to the border at 8:30 PM, we spent an additional 2 hours for customs and waiting on the border bridge. We could finally drive from the border to St. Petersburg around 11:00 PM, where we arrived at 1:30 AM. There, we discovered that our chosen campsite no longer exists, so we ended up camping on a forest road. (Shuvalovka Camping no longer exists)
Attention: In Russia, turn off the internet and do not make calls with a German SIM card. If you have not arranged a specific plan in advance, it is mandatory to get a Russian SIM card and make calls through Whatsapp.
