We got up at 7 o'clock, Steve had already left for fishing.
Had breakfast, packed and went to the beach again... And we couldn't tear ourselves away. Took photos, collected seashells, relaxed... But shortly after 12 o'clock we started... Straight to Gryllefjord for the ferry to Andenes... When we arrived at 12:40, there were already a lot of cars in line. Departure was supposed to be at 3 o'clock... Well, not for us, we didn't fit anymore. So we waited... The next one leaves at 7 o'clock...
And we had to wait for the next one. We couldn't fit on the ferry anymore, annoying, but nothing we could do. So we had to wait another 4 hours, in beautiful weather. We passed the time with fishing, reading, crocheting, sleeping, walking around and waiting 😆 but at 7 o'clock, it was time and we were the first car on the ferry to Andenes. The journey is 1 hour and 45 minutes over 37 km and costs around 80€.
Arriving in Andenes, we went directly to Andenes Camping. We arrived at 21:05, reception was closed but a man told us we are welcome, should find a spot and come by the next morning... And that's what we did. Setting up everything quickly, which now goes really fast, and then looking around... And wow! What a great view...
Later we found out that a (presumably) fin whale stranded on the beach. We also went to have a look, and indeed... On one hand, it was very interesting to see a whale up close, but at the same time also sad...
We went to bed around midnight. The fact that it doesn't get dark here really messes with your rhythm and sense of time...
