Arrived!

After almost 8 hours, we arrived super on time in Rome. The sun even came out along the way, and we had a beautiful view amidst all the tunnels.

Upon arriving in Rome, we checked into our hotel and received our first city tour based on the tourist map. Now we know what is around the corner and which paths are closed 😅. Currently, quite a bit is being renovated for the city's anniversary in 2025.

After a short break, we explored 'our' neighborhood a little, walked around the Castel Sant'Angelo, and caught our first glimpse of the Vatican. If I didn't know better...

We also had our first amazing meal with probably the best tiramisu. At least for me, the best 😉 Made with burrata, if I understood correctly. Special, but also especially good!

Now to read a bit more and then off to bed! Tomorrow we will really go to the Vatican!
