Brisbane is the capital of the Australian state of Queensland. In Down Under, it is known as the "New World City". And for good reason! Everything is very clean, and the buildings, parks🌳, and bike paths are modern and well-maintained. I have been in Australia for a week now, and the first impression is extremely positive. The "Aussies" are very friendly, open, and helpful. Despite the currently tense situation, they still appear to be relatively calm. Brisbane itself consists of individual neighborhoods. I live north of the city center in "Grange", a cozy and hilly suburb. From here, it takes me 20 minutes by bike to reach the city core 🚲. There, the stunning skyscrapers rise above the shopping streets. South of the Brisbane River, which winds its way through the city in wide curves, is the South Bank area. In the evenings, you can usually find joggers🏃🏼♂️ and walkers there. There is a beach and free electric grills available for a BBQ.
