Getting ready on the train was our task for today, off to the ferry at 11 o'clock.
The crossing from Bodø, where we arrived by night train, to Moskenes at the southern end of the Lofoten Islands took about 3 hours.
We used this time for breakfast and quick naps.
Once we arrived in Moskenes, we set off like typical backpackers to the area of Sorvågen, which is 2 km away and where our accommodation is located.
Upon arriving there, we packed our small backpacks again and started heading towards Å, pronounced like 'awe'.
On our way to Å, we passed through Tind, a small lovely area with a beautiful view.
When we arrived in Å, which only took half an hour, we first admired the many red and white houses. We walked through the town to a stone pier, where we made ourselves comfortable in the sun for an hour.
On the way back, we took some photos and bought provisions for the next few days.
During dinner, we discussed the other trips we wanted to take on the Lofoten Islands and now we're off to bed. The first bed and the first proper shower in 2 nights!
At least we'll try to fall asleep in the next two hours. It's bright as day here!
(Side note: 15 km walk, 3-hour ferry ride)
