What a great day it was today! After a messed up, short night with lots of interruptions, the signs for a good day were not exactly pointing towards success.
At 6 am, the night came to an end. I got ready to go for a run. At 8, I finally set off, treated myself to a chocolate croissant and a coffee for breakfast, so that I could perfectly observe the sunrise over O Porriño at 9.00 am. After 5 days of rain, hail and thunderstorms, I soaked up every ray of sunlight individually and enjoyed it. Since I didn't make much progress in the rain, I'm currently a bit behind schedule. At 10 am, I reached my goal from yesterday. First break! SUN IS SHINING! AWESOME! Fueled by the weather, running went like clockwork, even though it was a bit hillier today.
At 12.30 pm, I already reached my goal for today. I went to the hostel, which, to be honest, looked very inviting, and ordered a coffee and got a stamp. When I had to pass the vacant beds on my way to the toilets, I thought 'Hey Meyer, stay here, enjoy the day' well, I didn't! My ambition grabbed me and I wanted to make up for the lost kilometers of the past days, so I set off to Arcade, which was just under 6 km and 170 meters in altitude! Crazy trip again, after seeing the beds! But it was worth it. An impeccable view of the sea rewarded my ambition and I arrived in a small hostel in Arcade at 3.30 pm and I'm back on schedule. Looking forward to tomorrow :)
