Action in Latin America

Published: 29.10.2019

After many hikes and cultural excursions, there was finally something to my liking. On Sundays, we went on a quad tour in the afternoon. But as luck would have it, it was raining heavily again. But that didn't dampen our spirits. So after a few attempts, we set out to go around a lake. We raced over rocks and rough terrain for an hour, and it was just hilarious. No rain or wind could stop us from racing through the landscape like crazies, and even Svenja's near accidents (she was in front of me) added to the entertainment.

But the actual reason for the trip was different. We wanted to visit the salt mines of Moray. So after the quad tour, we took a bus there. The salt mines are essentially small pools that fill up with water and are exposed to high sunlight. They date back to the time of the Incas and are still used today as a natural source of salt. They are also very beautiful to look at.
