The day started early: departure at 7:30 to the Daintree National Park. This area is located north of Port Douglas and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It borders the Great Barrier Reef and forms a large protected area. On various walks, I experienced the diversity of the rainforest and the coast with the mangrove forest, and I learned a lot about the original way of life of the Aborigines.
