Today we did the Mananui Bush Walk. It led through an enchanted forest (it felt like Alice in Wonderland) to the beach where we searched for jade. After a short stop in Hokitika, we continued to the Blue Spur Bush Walk. The 'path' took us through untouched New Zealand bush to an old gold mining site where we could see the old shafts (which were only moderately secured), caves, and water facilities.
