Oregon Coast, Cannon Beach

Oregon Coast, about in the middle of the state... don't remember exactly where...

You can see it hinted here, cliffs and behind them sandy beach or sand dunes

There were supposed to be sea lions on the rocks... but it's beautiful even without them :)

And there they are, the sea lions.... cool animals.... they make quite a noise by the way

And suddenly, in Florence, huge sand dunes.... The Americans loved it and tore through the dunes all day with their quads/motocross and Mavericks!... I would have done it too :D

I hiked for about 1 hour for this picture... I think the pass was called Mckenzie Pass and it was an interesting stretch of road!

In the background, 2 of the 3 Three Sisters... It's also interesting that you can mainly see the black lava rock in the front part. Apparently, there was an eruption here about 1500 years ago!

I spent two nights at Lava Camp and the whole forest looked like this... it was quite impressive... Apparently, there was a bush fire here two years ago

Arrived at Smithrocks, OR. Amazing climbing

Smithrocks, Heinous Cling 5.12a. Today it has 9 bolts, before it had 3 bolts and the rest had to be secured by yourself... where exactly???

My climbing buddy Marlon and I got caught in the rain.

Not only rain but hail came down.... it was quite impressive being in the middle of the desert.

I'm telling you Oregon is sick!

So far, the most diverse state in the USA. I really like it there. Currently, I'm staying at Smithrocks National Park and I'll probably stay there for a while... the climbing is just too good!

Volcanic rock is something new for me and it's awesome! It has these little knobs that hold really well :) Unfortunately, my endurance and maximum strength have declined a bit since Skaha... but it will come back again :)!
