Wellington

I seem to have brought the good weather from Auckland to Wellington. On Thursday, I was able to hike up to the Victoria Lookout, where you have a 360-degree view of Wellington. Or as the locals call it: windy welly. It's always windy there. So, there's no point in washing or combing your hair, it won't help anyway.

Afterwards, I treated myself to some craft beer, as Wellington is also known for that, craft beer and coffee. Really delicious. But it should be for $13 a glass.

On Friday, I walked to the Botanical Garden. It's also a must-see in Wellington. Normally, the red cable car takes you there. But I thought walking wouldn't be so tiring. I should have taken the tram. It took me ages and I got lost several times.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a big fan of Downton Abbey. So, it was a must for me to see the movie in the cinema, which I did in the evening and significantly lowered the average age of the audience. It felt like I was the only young person there, but it was still worth it!

Today, I'm already leaving Wellington again, but if I find a job in the city, I'll come back. Wellington with good weather is simply unbeatable. So, I'll assume for now that I haven't seen much yet. Wellington is definitely 100 times more beautiful than Auckland.

Today, I took 2 different regional buses to Martinborough, where I will be staying with Sue and Wim on their vineyard.
