So today we're heading north. Unfortunately it starts snowing early in the morning and the road and visibility conditions are challenging at first, but not really bad.
We want to drive to Jyväskylä and spend the night at the campsite next to the slopes of a ski area. There is a light on in the campsite reception - no one is there... in this case you should call a telephone number, it says on a sign - no one answers. We wait 1/2 hour, then we decide to continue driving. The nearest campsite is 170 km away… well, doable!
The snowfall is getting heavier and heavier, the visibility is getting worse - I'm looking for the road at times... but finally it's done! We get to the campsite we're heading to and the excavator is busy shoveling and milling.
We're excited to book the sauna for tonight (maybe we'll be able to see the Austrian handball game against France today...) - there's a lounge in front of the sauna. And tomorrow, according to the campsite manager, there will be a Swedish breakfast at 8am!
