Breakfast by the lake, in the midst of a bird sanctuary, black swans, geese, seagulls and many unknown birds around us. Great view of Lake Rotorua. Every now and then a seaplane takes off or lands. Then first visitor info, go online, then stroll along the shopping street. Discover a nice cafe by the lake, with an adjacent playground. Malte takes his nap, then do laundry. We find a place to stay next to a playground in the Kaipura Park. There is steam at many places here in Rotorua, including next to the playground. The steaming and bubbling areas are fenced off, there is a danger of death if you should fall in. There are pools of warm and hot thermal water where we pamper our feet. Meet many Germans at these warm pools. Germans and Asians make up the majority of tourists. Take a walk to the nearby Maori village of Ohinemutu.
