06.11.-08.11.18 - Agnes Water

The couple with whom we were together on Fraser Island continued to Agnes Water with us. We stayed in the same hostel there, which was quite funny. 😬

On the day of arrival, we didn't do much, it was very late. The next day we were quite lazy 😅. So I signed up for a kangaroo tour. The hostel offered several tours and attractions. The tour was very nice! We went to a kind of kangaroo sanctuary. There we could feed and pet all the kangaroos. 👍 At the end, the driver from the hostel said that the owner of the sanctuary often looks for volunteers who work for him in exchange for accommodation and food. I liked the idea very much and signed up for the same tour the next day to introduce myself.

In the evening, we did a sunset tour together with the couple. Unfortunately, it was a bit cloudy....

After checking out of the hostel, we were allowed to stay until the bus left in the evening. By now, I really liked the hostel! There were almost only Germans (not good for my English), but you felt very comfortable there and you got into a conversation with everyone. 👍

My second trip to the kangaroos was not as successful as I had hoped. The owner didn't seem very interested in me... He told me to contact him whenever I have time, but I didn't feel very welcome there. Let´s see if I will contact him. 😊
